Night of the Living Dead’s newspaper advertising campaign would go through many changes over the years as the film’s apparent public domain status became more widely known. Theaters and drive-ins would begin to concoct their own mash ups using bits and pieces of the original ad campaign materials, and sometimes, completely new pieces of artwork. Over 1,100 of those ads from 1968 to the early 1980’s are collected here.
This Kickstarter campaign is in support of the premiere edition of this new book from Geoff Turner, author of Night of the Living Tapes. Available here are six exclusive tiers with all new perks, all officially licensed by Image Ten, the original producers of Night of the Living Dead.
Campaign Perks
The Cinema 1 Tier includes both the print and digital editions of “A Theater Near You!,” a world premiere newspaper advertisement bookmark, replica world premiere invitation and custom Night of the Living Dead stomach distress bag.
The Cinema 2 Tier includes all items in the previous reward tier plus a vintage newspaper advertisement vinyl sticker and a 9 piece 1.25″ character button set.
The Cinema 3 Tier includes all items from the previous reward tiers plus a three piece set of reproduction 11″x17″ posters including the double sided theater herald, original pole poster and the alternate Psycho quote poster.
The Cinema 4 Tier includes all items from the previous reward tiers plus an exclusive 7″ vinyl record of vintage radio advertisements from the theatrical releases of Night of the Living Dead.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Geoff Turner is the owner of one of the largest collections of Night of the Living Dead VHS tapes and memorabilia in the world. He is a writer, film historian and also served as a practical special effects artist on several independent feature films.
